More than 3,000 visitors passed through the gates of Berlucchi’s wine-cellars on the day of the official launching of The Floating Piers, the land-art installation created by Christo.

The programme, after all, was a rich one: in addition to the guided tours conducted under moonlight, Nicola Piovani’s concert enchanted the crowd of music-lovers with the finest pieces from his repertoire; chef Vittorio Fusari, interpreter-philosopher of Franciacorta cuisine, presented his innovative manzo all’olio; while Massimo Bottura, just back from a trip to the U.S., wearing his laurels as the world’s best chef, displayed his artistry in his eagerly-awaited gala dinner.

The guided tours and tastings were, in particular, extremely popular, with large numbers of wine-lovers coming from abroad, predominantly from the USA, Australia, and the United Kingdom, countries where Christo’s works are followed with great attention.
