Excitement and applause filled the Salone delle Feste in the Palazzo Lana Berlucchi yesterday evening for Massimo Bottura and his equipe.

The Modena-based chef delighted the palates of the 80 gourmets who reserved coveted places at the gala dinner that showcased the culinary creations of the maestro named The World’s Best Chef, by The World’s 50 Best, the international Oscar of dining.

“I am pleased to be here in Franciacorta, an extraordinary growing area with such a recently-lunched history of fine winemaking, which had its origins right in the wine-cellars of this palazzo. Here, in this production area, absolute quality is a real obsession,” remarked Bottura.

“And for us it is a true honour to have, ‘in-house in Franciacorta,’ the world’s top chef,” underscored Cristina Ziliani, Berlucchi Board Member. “Thanks to his art, which magisterially combines incredible artistry with a commitment to raise public appreciation of fine cuisine, Massimo Bottura serves as a model both for the new generation of Italian chefs as well as for all young people, giving them the self-confidence to make their passion and dreams concrete realities.”
