We are proud to have been awarded the Best Packaging Box at the VINITALY DESIGN PACKAGING COMPETITION 2022. The purpose of the competition, which took place on 24 March, is to select and award each year’s best packaging in the world of wines, spirits, liquors, beers, and extravirgin olive oil.

This year, the 287 competing packages were evaluated by a jury presided over by Leonardo Sonnoli and composed of CONAD’s Chief Category Officer, Alessandra Corsi, and by designers Papi Frigerio, Giuseppe Mascia, and Chiara Tomasi.

In the Special Prize, Packaging Box category, the jury awarded the Gold Medal to our FRANCIACORTA DOCG RISERVA DOSAGGIO ZERO MILLESIMATO 2008 “FRANCO ZILIANI”. The graphics created by the Spazio di Paolo design studio were the object of particular attention by the jury members.

This recognition is doubly precious to us since it goes to the commemorative edition dedicated to Franco Ziliani, father of Franciacorta, in the year of his 90^th birthday.

This enviable ranking is a further tribute to Berlucchi in the 60^th anniversary year of pioneer Franco Ziliani’s creation of the very first bottle of Franciacorta in 1961, which made Guido Berlucchi the “founder” of an entire wine-producing area, Franciacorta. It is also a merited testament to the producer’s decades-long striving for ever-greater quality, which has made the winery a sector benchmark in the area of sustainable wine production.

That universally-recognized quality, embodied so superbly in Berlucchi’s line of wines, has meant that demand has been so high for Brut Rosé Franciacorta ’61 NV that it was out of stock as early as mid-November.

This excellent achievement adds to this Spring’s seal of approval by Wine Spectator, which attributed an unprecedented 93 points – the highest score ever received by a Franciacorta – to Palazzo Lana Extreme 2009, representing an important milestone
and turning point for Guido Berlucchi as it faces a phase of profound innovation, new challenges and revolutionary market scenarios.
