Excitement is running high in Franciacorta for the Festival d’Estate, the summer festival just around the corner. From its cellars in Borgonato, Berlucchi confirms its event-packed programme and adds even more details.

From 2 to 4 June, the wine cellars themselves will be the host to the young artistic talents of the Borgo degli Artisti di Bienno, a creative group from the Valle Camonica. Eagerly anticipated is artist Mattia Trotta with his wire sculpture Uomo attraverso l’uomo, which was exhibited two years ago in Sarnico but then removed after indignant protests by a local citizen.

Visitors this first weekend will enjoy a unique bonus. On Saturday 3 June, they can listen to a live jazz session with the Hot Three, thanks to the sponsorship of Fondazione del Teatro Grande di Brescia.

The trio will bring to life the immortal classics of Irving Berlin, with Sandro Gibellini and Marco Poli on the guitars and vocals by Adele Guglielmi.

On 10 and 11 June, guests can deepen their understanding of the green side of Berlucchi, with a discovery stroll through the vineyards that will put the spotlight on biodiversity. Our agronomist will illustrate the daily challenges of organic viticulture on the 85 hectares of estate vineyards, which have been certified organic since July 2016.

There will be guided tours of the cellars on both weekends, beginning at 11.00am, and at 2.00 (in English), 3.30, and 5.00pm, which conclude with a tasting of Franciacortas, accompanied by locally-produced cheeses and salumi.

Saturday 17 June focuses on haut cuisine at Berlucchi, with succulent finger foods by chef Dario Guidi of the Antica Osteria Magenes of Gaggiano. This creative Milanese chef, member of the Associazione JRE, the association of young chefs with which Berlucchi has long enjoyed a fruitful relationship, will conjure up three one-of-a-kind morsels to savour along with ’61 Satèn, ’61 Nature 2010, and Rosé Riserva 2007, the latter a Franciacorta available only in JRE restaurants. The guided tours, which begin at 11.00am and 4.00pm, will conclude with a session with the chef and tasting.
