Berlucchi ’61 Nature, the very quintessence of the Franciacorta growing area, is now appearing at the “champagne bar” of the MSC Seaside, the largest cruise ship ever built in an Italian shipyard, a nonpareil example of a marriage between two true Italian jewels.

This new flagship was delivered on 29 November in Monfalcon to shipowner Gianluigi Aponte, in the presence of Sergio Mattarella, President of Italy; Graziano Del Rio, Transport Minister; and Giuseppe Bono, President of Fincantieri.

MSC Seaside, a true “sea giant,” is 323 metres in length, 41wide, and 72 high, with a weight of over 150,000 tonnes. With its innovative design, it can hold up to 5,179 passengers in its 2,067 cabins.

Those travellers will enjoy the privilege of sipping Berlucchi ’61 Nature 2010 while they cruise the sunny waters of the Caribbean, the ship’s vacation destination.

Following its delivery in the shipyard, the MSC Seaside will have its maiden call in Trieste, then on 21 December its naming ceremony in Miami, which will be the home port of this record-setting liner.

A congratulatory toast, then, to this jewel of Italian shipbuilding expertise! With Berlucchi Franciacorta, of course!
