THE FRANCIACORTA IN BARI

Berlucchi on tour in Bari with the Festival del Franciacorta

May 7, 2016

A new, much-anticipated stop on Monday, 16 May for the peripatetic Festival Franciacorta, which will travel to Puglia, arriving in Menelao alle Cummerse, near Bari, for an afternoon programme of workshops and tastings.

For Berlucchi, it will be an unparalleled opportunity to introduce its latest-born Franciacorta, ’61 Nature Millesimato. This 2009 spent over five years maturing sur lie, and with no syrup dosage, it appears decisive, uncompromising, and complex, and it has already pleased legions of wine-lovers in previous tastings, from Vinitaly forwards. Joining it will be another Berlucchi jewel, the ’61 Rosé, a Franciacorta that is a true standout for its gorgeous coppery hue, the fruit of over 60 years’ expertise in making sparkling rosés– Berlucchi, in fact, was the first producer in Italy to make a classic-method rosé, creating Max Rosé in 1962.
