On Saturday, 2 June, at 6.00pm, Guido Berlucchi will mark the kickoff weekend of the 2018 Franciacorta Summer Festival, by launching a special “Welcome Summer!” gala evening together with the guiding spirit of Milan’s Joia restaurant, Chef Pietro Leemann, a pioneer of “green cooking” and world-recognized leader of natural cooking, which he has propelled onto the international stage.

The evening will start off with a guided tour of the Historical Winecellars and of Palazzo Lana, at the winery in Borgonato, followed by a tasting of three different finger foods created by Chef Leemann, paired with three different vintages of Berlucchi ’61 Franciacorta Nature Millesimato, the most authentic and uncompromising expression of its growing area, thanks to its production without the liqueur d’expedition.

This evening will be nothing less than the presentation of a shared vision of respect for nature and for a unique winegrowing area, and the celebration of one date—1961—and two auspicious stories. That year, in fact, marked the birth of Cantine Berlucchi, thanks to the pioneering farsightedness of Guido Berlucchi and of Franco Ziliani, and of this Franciacorta growing area; it marked as well as the birth of the Swiss-born Leemann, who has transformed the world of “cooking green.”

Tickets for the evening are € 50,00 per person, Since they are limited in number, reservations are required; they can be made at www.berlucchi.it.

Join us for the very special marriage that joins culture, nature, and the history of a winemaking area with “pure pleasure in the glass” of a great Franciacorta.
